• Carrd's "$9/year" is not the custom domain plan. A lot of roundups list Carrd's custom domain at $9 a year. That is Pro Lite, which explicitly does not include custom domains, forms, or analytics. The cheapest Carrd tier with a custom domain is Pro Standard at $19 a year.
• Linktree's workaround is not a custom domain. Linktree's help center (article 6571689) states plainly that they do not offer the option to use a custom domain to replace the linktr.ee URL. Their suggested "redirect links" approach sends visitors through your domain to linktr.ee/yourname, so the address bar still ends up on Linktree.

SSL is not provisioning The most common cause on Cloudflare is proxied mode. Switch your record to "DNS only" (grey cloud) and wait a few minutes for Linkero to complete the certificate challenge. You can re-enable proxying after SSL is confirmed.

"This site can't be reached" after 30 minutes Check your DNS record for typos. A common mistake: if your domain is yourdomain.com and you want links.yourdomain.com, enter links in the Name field, not links.yourdomain.com. Your registrar already knows your root domain and appends it automatically.
